Video Contest

NOW's your students' chance to say what their feeling about bullying and
help their peers understand that bullying is not cool.

They can produce and submit a short, three minute thirty-second, edited video.
Entries limited to videos that have positive messages and messages that inspire others.

Video genres limited to:

Digital Multi-Media Slideshow -- voice-over narrative reading with music, pictures and live action video
that convey why it's NOT COOL TO BULLY. Cool slide show. Length: 3:30

Music Video -- with images and music that shows why it's NOT COOL TO BULLY.
Original lyrics and music must be written and performed by students and/or their friends. Length 3:30

No commercial copyrighted images or music will be accepted.

DEADLINE IS MAY 31

o All entries must be original, no longer than three minutes & 30 seconds, and submitted on DVD and postmarked no later than May 31, 2011 to:
Hey U.G.L.Y. Video Contest, PO Box 345, Rolling Prairie, IN 46371.
o Entrant's name, age, grade, school, home address, and phone number must be clearly printed, in black ink,
on the label and inserted into the DVD sleeve.
o Names of students acting in your film must be listed including their age and school name. Photo release slips from parents required for each student acting in the film.

2010-2011 Video Contest Rules and Regulations: Contestants may enter contest more than once. Must be 7 - 19 to enter. Void where prohibited by law. All entries must be postmarked no later than May 31, 2011. All entries submitted for judging will become the exclusive property of Hey U.G.L.Y., Inc. and will not be returned to entrants. To determine the winner, all entries submitted will be judged on impact of message and originality. An independent panel of filmmakers will conduct judging. Judging will take place on or about July 15, 2011. Decisions of judges are final. Winner will be notified, by phone or mail, no later than September 15, 2011. First Prizes is a video camera (minimum value, $250.00). To receive a written letter listing the winning entry, send a stamped, self-addressed envelope by October 15, 2011. Winner need not be present to win. All taxes and any expenses not indicated herein are the sole responsibility of the winner. Any prize returned as undeliverable will be awarded to an alternate winner. Entry and acceptance of prize constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) for sponsor and anyone it may authorize to use winners' names, photographs or other likenesses, biographical information, hometowns and statements concerning the contest for purposes of advertising and promotion without compensation to the winner. Employees of Hey U.G.L.Y., Inc., its affiliated companies, participating partners and their respective advertising, promotion and production agencies and their immediate families are not eligible. Not responsible for lost, late illegible, mutilated, postage-due, misdirected mail, typographical or other errors. All prizes are guaranteed to be awarded.
