To demonstrate the concept of
Hue-man Beings, put your forearm next to the forearm of your friends, classmates and family members. Notice how the "hue" of your skin is different than the "hue" of these people.

The concept of Hue-man Being is that we all share the same things such as eyes, heart, lungs, and feelings that get hurt when we are bullied. We have many similarities and our skin is hued differently.

art project:

draw pictures of Hue-man Beings getting along together on 8 1/2 x 11 White card stock. Feel free to use pen and ink, computer graphics, oil paint, pastels, crayons, chalk or watercolor. Use whatever materials you select to create a work of art that shows Hue-man Beings getting along. Below your art work write three sentences explaining why it's important we all view each other as brothers and sisters. Hey U G L Y will be collecting art works from pre-teens and teens across the country. We will select 100 representative works of art to be displayed in art centers across the country and published in a book that will be sold throughout the world. The premier showing of the art will be in early 2009 at the Lubeznik Center For The Arts. Proceeds from the sale of the book will go to Hey U G L Y and school art programs.
